Having eaten breakfast and left behind our
exploration of Somenos Lake in Duncan BC it was now time for us to continue on the road towards Nanaimo and Pipers Lagoon
We had a brief detour through Ladysmith
then continued down the highway and into Nanaimo where we stopped to stretch alongside Departure Bay
Ferries come and go connecting Vancouver Island with Vancouver and the main continent of North America.
People explore local history
and geese swim by
hitting the road again we go up and around a bend saying good bye to Departure Bay
and then arriving for a pause to collect gear and thoughts
it's time to start

Well I'm glad you can enjoy seeing the adventures we get up to at least!!
Though I'll point out, to positively challenge your position ;), that all of the photos on this June adventure happened in a vehicle with a standard transmission that I don't know how to drive! Karsten did all the driving!
So we can reevaluate your situation and say that you could use adventure friends who drive LOL
